Cranfield is a quaint village dating back to Saxon times and lies between Bedford and Milton Keynes. It is just off the M1 motorway between junctions 13 and 14.
Cranfield is probably most famous for it RAF connections and airfield which later became Cranfield University.
Along with the university, there are two schools in the village, the Lower School and Holywell Middle School. Older children can travel approximately 4 miles by bus to Wootton Upper School. The village also benefits from a small convenience store, church and park.
From M1 jct 14 take the A509 towards Newport Pagnell. Take the first right to Moulsoe.
Stay on this road following signs to Cranfield, past the university. Take a left at the T junction the first right into Lodge Road.
You can find most shops and services you need in Cranfield; there is a Co-op supermarket, newsagents, hairdresser, florist and a hardware shop on the high street, together with 2 estate agents, and car dealerships.
There are three pubs and a number of take away restaurants in the village. Local places of interest include Marston Thrift which is part of the Marston Vale Communtiy Forest, a popular nature reserve.
A little further away is Woburn Abbey and Safari Park, and the recently opened Centre Parcs also in Woburn.
For every other leisure or shopping facility, head to Milton Keynes just 8 miles away or Bedford which is 10 miles away.
Here you will find everything from shopping centres, theatres, cinemas, stately homes, art galleries and any number of leisure facilities.
Cranfield C of E Academy and Holywell Middle School are nearby. Wootton Upper school & and Arts college is just 4 miles away. Cranfield University is nearby.
Home Farm benefits from excellent road links, with junction 14 of the M1 just 4 miles away. Mainline train stations run from Milton Keynes and Bedford, with journey time to London being approximately 50 minutes.
There is both a doctors and dentist surgery in the village.
