Situated in Inverclyde, on the south bank of the River Clyde as it becomes the Firth of the Clyde, Greenock is a large, vibrant town with excellent transport connections.
Lying on the north-facing slope, one of the town's key features is the magnificent view it enjoys across the Firth to the Argyll Mountains.
Greenock is the birthplace of James Watt and has been shaped by a history of maritime and industrial activity.

Or you can stroll along the Greenock Esplanade, one of the finest seafront promenades in the country. And of course, you're conveniently located to explore the enticing coastal towns to the west or the beautiful open countryside and rural villages of Inverclyde.
