Shop ‘til you drop…

The city boasts an abundance of shopping with Liverpool ONE (the new £1bn designer centre), the city's central area including Church Street and Lord Street, plus the designer shopping centres of Cavern Walks and Metquarter. For even more choice the UK’s largest designer outlet, Cheshire Oaks, is just off the M53 at Ellesmere Port.

So many people fall in love with Liverpool and it’s easy to see why with its fantastic array of amenities and renowned friendly atmosphere. You’ll never be short of something to do or see and transports links are good throughout the region making it a popular place to buy a new home for young professionals, families as well as those looking to retire.

A wealth of attractions on your doorstep

Liverpool boasts an array of fantastic attractions such as the historic Albert Dock, the world famous Cavern Club (home of The Beatles), the Echo Arena, Tate Liverpool and the Merseyside Maritime Museum to name but a few. The city is proud to be home to the largest selection of galleries and museums anywhere other than London and it’s all there for you to enjoy. You’ll also be spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out as the city is home to over 300 restaurants catering for every taste and budget.

No mention of Liverpool would be complete without acknowledging its impressive sporting credentials. Home to Liverpool and Everton premier league football clubs you’ll be close to all the action. Aintree racecourse is also host to the Grand National – the most famous steeplechase of all. And Merseyside regularly hosts the Open Golf Championship at courses including the Royal Liverpool at Hoylake and the Royal Birkdale.

To the east of the city the M62 motorway connects with Hull, Manchester, Bradford and Leeds. It also links to the M6 and M1 motorways for destinations further afield including Birmingham and London.

Lime Street train station is Liverpool’s main station and is the terminus for several lines into the city. Liverpool South Parkway train station to the south of the city provides a speedy connection to Liverpool John Lennon Airport in less than 15 minutes.

As well as the busy Liverpool John Lennon Airport, which offers services to approximately 70 destinations, you can also make use of the passenger ferries sailing from the Port of Liverpool to Ireland and the Isle of Man.
