The town is well known for its New Year’s Eve celebrations, where thousands of people congregate from surrounding towns and villages, as well as around the world, to join in on the festivities and watch the stunning fireworks display.

There’s a total of 17 schools in Bideford for children of all ages, including the Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ Appledore Community Primary School And Nursery and the sixth form Bideford College.
There are quite a few health facilities in the local area including Bideford Medical Centre, Northam Surgery and The Quay Dental Practice. The nearest hospital is Bideford Community Hospital which is only half a mile away from the development.
