Approximately a mile away from Bishops Green is the busy market town of Bishop Auckland, which has an array of shopping facilities, including independent boutiques as well as a retail park. There's also a range of supermarkets available for weekly shopping trips.
You'll be spoilt for choice for things to do living at Bishops Green as there's a wide variety of things to do in the local area. Bishop Auckland has a number of historic buildings and landmarks such as the beautiful Auckland castle and town hall. There are plenty of places to eat and drink in and around the town as well as plenty of places to enjoy the fresh air and enjoy some exercise. There are also many well-known cycle routes around the area, including the scenic 17 mile Bishop Auckland/Brandon Loop cycle route.
