Directions

By car, Boyton Place is approximately 16 miles from the M11 via Cambridge and 45 miles from the M25. Haverhill lies 63 miles to the north of London and just 21 miles away from Stansted Airport. The nearest train station is 16 miles away and the town has frequent bus links serving the local area and surrounding towns and villages.

Shopping

There is an abundance of restaurants in the town centre and surrounding areas including the bigger chains such as Frankie & Benny's and Prezzo, as well as bistros and tea rooms. Shops are plentiful including many well-known high street stores, independent retailers and supermarkets. The town is part pedestrianised and a market is held every Friday and Saturday in Market Square.

Leisure

East Town Park Countryside Centre is open daily, there is a brand new children's activity park and a picnic area.The Arts Centre housed within the Grade 2 listed town hall has a cinema and a theatre that hosts live music, drama, dance and comedy shows. The town also offers a variety of sports clubs including two non-league football teams, cricket, rugby, baseball & angling, a dance school and a skatepark. You'll also find a five-screen cinema, a leisure centre with a swimming pool, gym and children's soft play area and an 18-hole golf course.

Education

There's a good choice of primary schools in Haverhill. Burton End Community Clements Community, Compals, New Cangle Community, Place Farm Community, Ridgewell, St Felix RCVA and Westfiled Community.

Secondary schools include Samuel Ward Academy which has an outstanding Ofsted report, as does Linton Village College which is 5.7 miles away.
