We support young people within, and on the verge of entering, the criminal justice system. We would love to be able to lease land where our young people will grow plants, crops, and vegetables, and where they will have access to animals such as alpacas, pygmy goats, kune kune pigs, chickens, and ducks. The land will need animal shelters and a hub for our learners. The children and young people would 'work' the land and learn how to care for the animals. These therapeutic agriculture and farming practices would address mental and physical health challenges and provide experiential and enriching educational activities.
