Refugee Action work with over 500 children and young people every year to help them restart their education, make friends and plan for their future. The refugee experience has a devastating impact on a child at a crucial time of development, and sadly education can be hard to immediately access. Refugee Action’s At Home in Bradford project focuses on restarting children’s education and integration into schools. It’s delivered through practical help liaising with local schools, one-on-one therapeutic support and group sessions to help bring together children with similar experiences. This service is unique to the region.
