Having a disabled child is challenging but does not need to be isolating. Up on Downs is a charity founded by parents to support families of children who have Down’s Syndrome. We give parent to parent support and information through a range of events designed to improve family networks, promote learning and develop skills for families and those supporting them. Throughout the year we arrange meetings, therapies and activities for the children, their siblings and carers. These include regular drop-in sessions, speech therapy, visits from specialists, and outings. We also provide personalised signposting and advice on services, education and development.
