Delivering good quality new homes and great service to our customers is the Group’s priority. We believe that our business strategy, which has at its heart a commitment to provide accessible and affordable homes to customers throughout the UK, will see the company playing a leading role in tackling the UK’s housing shortage. The average selling price of the 15,171 homes we sold in 2016 was £206,765 and just under 50% of our total private sales were sold for less than £200,000.

In 2016 we opened two new operating businesses, one in Perth and one in Launceston. At the start of 2017 we launched a further new business in Mansfield, increasing our network to 29 operating businesses. Our geographical scale, with an average of around 390 sites across the UK in 2016, is one of our major strengths and allows us to provide new homes in areas of maximum need. In conjunction with our wide range of property types, this means we are well placed to meet the needs of our diverse customer base – including first time buyers, those needing more space to accommodate growing families or people looking to downsize.

As well as our focus on building quality homes, our approach is to regard every development as a community with its own particular needs whether social, environmental or economic. Through a combination of investment in local infrastructure and the implementation of our design principles we aim to ensure the success and sustainability of each community over the short and long term.

Buying a home is the single biggest investment most people make. We also know that many people can find moving home stressful. With that in mind we want to repay our customers’ trust by making the process run as smoothly as possible and by delivering excellent levels of customer service. Our pledge before you move...

From the moment you reserve your new Persimmon home, we pledge to make the experience enjoyable and informative each step of the way. We aim to take care of you, not just when you are buying but also after you have moved into your new home. All of our staff are trained and encouraged to provide a high level of customer service and to deliver our comprehensive pre-move and after-sales pledge to our customers.

Reservation agreement

At pre-reservation stage you will be shown details of the appearance and location of your chosen new home together with all relevant surrounding information.

The reservation agreement will set out the key terms of your home purchase, including the reservation period, purchase price and other very important information.

Persimmon Masterfile

Upon reservation you will receive a copy of your Masterfile, which has been produced to assist you through the different stages of your purchase and for you to use as a reference after you have moved into your new home.

Points of contact

We will inform you of the main points of contact who can assist you with information both during and after you have moved into your new home.

Our sales team are fully trained to offer you expert guidance and practical assistance throughout the buying process. We will regularly communicate with you to keep you informed of the progress of your new home and our sales advisors will respond quickly and efficiently to any queries you may have.


We are a national house builder with a local approach to building your new home.

We will provide you with the specification appropriate to the locality of your selected new home and development and we will explain the choice of external materials used, for example your brick colour and roof tiles. You will be able to select certain elements of the fixtures and fittings encompassing the latest designs from leading manufacturers, subject to the stage of build of your chosen home. If you wish to further personalise your new home, an exciting range of options is available to purchase from our Finishing Touches scheme. Our experienced sales team is on hand to guide you through the choices available to you depending again on the stage of build.
