Located in Easington, a mining town in the North East of England, our new Greenacres development is close to the Heritage coastline and has excellent road links for commuters.
With a choice of two, three and four bedroom homes in a variety of styles, there’s something to suit everyone, including first-time buyers, families, downsizers and young professionals.
Dating back to the 13th Century, much of Easington village is of archaeological interest and has been designated as a conservation area since 1974. Centred around a village green and 12th Century medieval parish church, the village is set in a rural location, yet only 10 miles from the beautiful city of Durham.
Set on the northern outskirts of the village, the Greenacres development is near to green open spaces as well as being within walking distance of local amenities. There is a variety of local village shops, as well as a Post Office, newsagent and a pub.
Being so close to the Durham Heritage Coastline, the local area is ideal for picturesque walks, rugged hikes and for enjoying the local plants and wildlife. Less than 2 miles from the development is the Hawthorn Dene Nature Reserve, an area of lime-rich woodland, home to various lime-loving trees and plants, often awash with colour in the summer months. Or walk the Durham Coastal Path, an 11-mile route with dramatic views and yellow Magnesian Limestone cliffs.
There‘s a choice of schooling for all ages close to the Greenacres development. Just a few minutes’ walk from the development is the Rosemary Lane Pre-School, Easington Village Church of England Primary School and the Easington Academy. There are also two further primary schools in the village.
The nearby town of Peterlee is approximately 3 miles south of Easington Village and Seaham approximately 4 miles north. Both towns offer additional entertainment and shopping opportunities, including Byron Place Shopping Centre, Dalton Park Outlet and Castle Dene Shopping Centre, as well as a choice of larger supermarkets. Slightly further afield, you’ll find even more shopping and a host of entertainment in the city of Durham.
Offering a rural lifestyle with easy access to nearby towns and cities, Greenacres could be the ideal place to buy your first home or move up the property ladder.
