From junction 36 of the M1 take Dearne Valley Parkway/A6195 to
Wood Walk/B6096 in Wombwell. Exit the roundabout onto Wood
Walk/B6096, and then continue to follow B6096. Turn left onto Copeland
Road and at the roundabout, take the second exit onto Main Street. Then turn left onto Barnsley Road and take the second left onto John Street – you
will see Holly Bank on your right.
Wombwell has a number of local business and high street
chains on its high street.Nearby,Cortonwood
provides all you need and has a range of larger shops. There is good high
street shopping in Barnsley and Rotherham, and slightly further afield, Doncaster has a wide choice.
Holly Bank has a great choice of leisure centres nearby
including Barnsley Metrodome with its fitness classes, gyms and swimming
pool. Restaurants, bars, cinema, and bowling for the whole family are only a
short distance away. And there’s also a wide choice of parks and places to
visit such as the RSPB’s Old Moor reserve.
There is a good choice of local
primary schools in the area. High View Primary Learning Centre is the nearest to Holly Bank and has an Ofsted
‘outstanding’ report. the nearest high school just a short distance away.
Holly Bank has good transport links with convenient bus
routes to Barnsley, Rotherham, Doncaster and Sheffield.
The A1, M1 and M18 are easily accessible for commuting and days out.
Wombwell Medical Centre is within walking distance and Barnsley Hospital is only a few minutes drive
from the development. There are also various pharmacies and dental practices
within a short distance from the Holly Bank.
