The heart of our finance department is located at the Group’s Head Office in York.
The Group Finance department is responsible for consolidating the accounts for each of our operating businesses. A team of dedicated and professional Accountants and Finance Managers keep a keen watch over our day to day activities, assisted by specialists in the Tax & Treasury Department and Group Risk, ensuring that we operate efficiently and effectively in all of our financial dealings.
We also employ Assistant Accountants, who are usually training for a professional accountancy qualification, and Accounts Clerks to support the team. York is also the base for a team of Payroll Clerks ensuring all our staff are paid on time.
Our Finance Department also has a large team based in the regional operating Businesses. Each of our companies has either a Financial Director or Company Accountant and there are Accountants employed at most of our locations at various stages of qualification, together with numerous Accounts Clerks to enable us to maintain our tight cost control.
