Graduate Planner Full Time

Persimmon Homes (West Midlands) based in Telford, Shropshire requires a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Planner looking to start or develop their career within the development industry. As a Graduate Planner, you will be part of a small yet busy Planning Team reporting to the Planning Manager where you will become integral to the delivery of new homes. You will be exposed to a wide range of planning functions including development control, co-ordinating and assembling planning applications, assisting with planning appeals and promoting land through the planning policy process.

Qualifications/Skills

The ideal candidate will be expected to have knowledge of the UK planning system and understand the planning application and planning policy processes. Ideally you will have completed a relevant degree in Town Planning and be able to work towards RTPI qualification; you will receive a Mentor to provide assistance with the APC process to become an MRTPI Charted Town Planner.

Skills

The successful candidate will have good written, interpersonal and organisational skills which are essential to the role as it requires the individual to represent the company in a range of capacities. You will also have the ability to adapt to new situations and commercial awareness is also key to this role. A full driving licence is also essential.
