Group Health and Safety Advisor – East Wales, Llantrisant
Persimmon Homes PLC have a vacancy for a Health and Safety Advisor to join their successful and growing group team. This role will be based from the East Wales office in Llantrisant with travel across the East and West Wales region. This role is specifically required for the Ground-works Division.

As the Health and Safety Advisor you will report directly to the managing director of the ground works operating business. The key responsibility will be to monitor the Health and Safety operations and management systems implemented by the ground-works operating business. This will involve you providing site inspections, audits and incident led investigations. At an operational level you will support the regional management team, providing advice, information and training as per the requirements of the Group Health and Safety Policy. You will also implement the policy, assist the site management teams in meeting CDM regulation requirements, develop Health and Safety plans and assess visiting contractors’ compliance.
If this sounds appealing to you we will require:
Someone with the ability to provide confident leadership on site and communicate at all levels within the office environment. It is strongly preferred that you have experience with a Ground-works company. It is essential that you will have a NEBOSH qualification and relevant construction certificates. It is highly desirable that you are a member of IOSH. You will be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of current Health and Safety legislation.
It is imperative that you are IT literate, have the ability to organise yourself, you can prepare detailed management reports and develop strong relationships with senior regional directors, who in return will offer an open door policy for dealing with health and safety matters.
