The Group headquarters, Persimmon Plc, based in York are looking for an enthusiastic, committed person to join our IT Service Desk team. Through your passion for IT you will provide a professional experience for our internal customers, capturing and dealing with a wide range of incidents and requests ensuring excellent communication at all times.
The successful candidate will essentially have A Level IT, BTEC in Computing or equivalent and SDI – Service Desk Analyst or equivalent. An MCSA or equivalent and ITIL V3 Foundation or a working knowledge of the framework is desirable. Sound technical experience in a similar role working in large scale, multi-site environments and in depth working knowledge of the following is essential:
Experience and knowledge of; SQL Server, Group Policy, SAN storage infrastructure, Android for Work, Windows Deployment Tools, Scripting (PowerShell/VBScript), Papercut print management software, TeamViewer, Lansweeper, Office 365 and Configuration of network switches, load balancers and Wireless Access Points, are desirable.
The successful candidate will possess self-motivation with commitment, drive, and enthusiasm and have the ability to; effectively prioritise tasks in a high-pressure environment whilst remaining calm and efficient, articulate and use a methodical approach to problem solving, absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences, to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks, work well as part of a team and be flexible and adaptable to change.
