Persimmon Homes Wessex requires a Land Buyer / Assistant Land Manager to join their successful and growing land and planning team, which operates primarily across Wiltshire and Oxfordshire and is based at our regional head office in Malmesbury.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within one of Britain’s most successful house builders. You will report to the Land Director and assist the Land Manager in the identification and assessment of strategic and immediate land opportunities including the preparation of financial appraisals, due diligence work, input of planning gain contributions and development costs leading to formal valuations and offers to the landowners of future development sites.
You will work alongside internal and external planning and development teams, agents and landowners and other external consultants. With support, you will be working with a Major National House Builder delivering future residential developments across Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment where your input can be seen on the ground. With support from the Persimmon team, you will be able to develop your skills and knowledge in the residential development sector.
The successful candidate will have a minimum two to three years’ experience in a property related role where you will have applied the relevant skills listed below. The candidate will ideally have a degree and relevant work experience such as conveyancing, technical, land or a development role and have negotiation experience. The position requires a detailed, tenacious and hardworking individual who is commercially minded and willing to demonstrate their enthusiasm for learning and contributing within a busy commercial office. Professional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are essential. The candidate requires a good level of computer literacy and ability to negotiate. A full driving licence is required.
