Development Planner / Senior Development Planner – Bathgate, Scotland
Persimmon Homes East Scotland has a vacancy for a Development Planner or Senior Development Planner to join their successful and growing land and planning team. This role will be based in the regional office in Bathgate.

Working for a thriving business covering the East of Scotland, as part of a UK wide PLC house builder, applicants for this key role will be commercially astute with experience of development management planning, planning policy making or a general planning consultancy and may have spent some of their career in Local Authority employment or the House Building Industry. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Land and will support the Land and Technical Departments by submitting Planning Applications and managing to consent, producing planning / design and access statements, appointment and management of multi-disciplined consultants and negotiating planning conditions and Section 75 Agreements. You will also be asked to provide general planning advice and emerging policy analysis amongst other duties.
If this sounds appealing to you we will require:
That you have experience of securing planning consents for housing sites, particularly in Development Management. Successful candidates will have acquired practical experience as a Planner providing technical input in a variety of different development schemes with particular experience of major residential planning applications or knowledge of master plans / housing development layouts. It would be beneficial to be an existing member of the RTPI and an academic qualification in planning or related subject is essential.
