The Group headquarters, Persimmon Plc, based in York are looking for an enthusiastic, committed person to join our IT Service Desk team. Comprehensive on the job training will be given to enable the successful candidate to deliver first class IT support via telephone, remote access and email. The role will involve all aspects of supporting end users from logging and responding to their incidents, carrying out relevant diagnostics and fault finding.
The successful candidate will essentially have A Level IT, BTEC in Computing or equivalent. An SDI – Service Desk Analyst or equivalent, MCSA or equivalent and ITIL V3 Foundation or a working knowledge of the framework is desirable. Knowledge of the following is desirable:
The successful candidate will possess self-motivation with commitment, drive, and enthusiasm and have the ability to; effectively prioritise tasks in a high-pressure environment whilst remaining calm and efficient, articulate and use a methodical approach to problem solving, absorb complex technical information and communicate effectively at all levels to both technical and non-technical audiences, to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks, work well as part of a team and be flexible and adaptable to change.
