Persimmon Homes Suffolk has a vacancy for two Trainee Sales Advisors for an immediate start for the right candidates. The location for these vacancies will be discussed at interview but will be at one of our Suffolk regional sites, which also includes North Essex. Sales Advisors are our ambassadors as they are the first point of contact that a customer will make with the Company so it is vital that the correct first impression is made. As a Trainee Sales Advisor operating on-site and reporting directly to your mentor, a Sales Advisor, you’ll shadow and assist over a period of time receiving on the job training learning every aspect of the sales process from start to finish.
As well as on the job training you will also be trained at head office in the use of our in house computer system, COINS and also be trained in a variety of sales techniques. These new skills mixed with on the job training will enable and provide you with all the skills you need to become a Sales Advisor.
Once qualified, you will be negotiating the sale of houses on a development and advise customers on properties, specifications and the buying process, ensuring you meet sales targets, including reservations and legal completions within set timescales. The main responsibilities are to:
– Represent the Company in sales negotiations and administration in a professional and timely manner.
– Meet and greet all visitors to the sales office in a polite, courteous and efficient manner.
– Ensure the customers are kept up to date and well informed of the progress of their purchase.
– Respond to cancellations making every effort to ‘save’ the reservation.
– Generate sales by offering relevant purchase assistance schemes.
– Deliver high quality home demonstrations in conjunction with the build/maintenance teams having a good understanding of plans, building regulations and legal obligations.
– Report to line management on viewings, reservations and sales as appropriate.
As a requirement of the role, the successful candidates will be expected to work weekends and Bank Holidays.
The successful candidates will be educated to GSCE standard, holding 5 good passes including Maths and English (or equivalent). Previous customer service experience is advantageous. You will be required to complete, pass and maintain a CSCS card qualification. A full UK driving licence and your own transport is required.
This role requires a willingness to learn new skills. Your communication skills will be developed in order to ensure that you can deal effectively and efficiently with the general public. Good personal planning and organisational skills are key in ensuring your allocated site is maintained to the highest standards.
