Salendine Nook Shopping Centre lies approximately half a mile from Lindley Moor Meadow and includes a Sainsbury’s and a Post Office. There's a good of local shops such as a convenience store, pharmacy, florist and off-licence; all of which are a ten-minute walk away. The centre of town offers a good variety, from Kingsgate Shopping Centre to Victorian Byram Arcade.
The nearby children’s recreation ground at Fern Lea provides woodlands, play equipment and a sports field. The Huddersfield Sports Centre in the town centre has two swimming pools and excellent gym facilities. Huddersfield Golf Club is around three miles away.
Huddersfield is around five miles north of the Peak District National Park and close to the Yorkshire Dales, and is an excellent base for outdoor activities including rock climbing, mountain biking, countryside walks or enjoying a bite to eat in many of the charming traditional pubs.
The recent OFSTED reports have assessed Lindley Infant School and Lindley Junior School as ‘outstanding’ and both are located close to the development.

Local bus routes run frequently and a free town centre bus is provided between locations including major shopping sites, rail stations, and the university.
Leeds is less than 40 minutes from Huddersfield by train, and there are also frequent services to Manchester and Liverpool. The M62 motorway is just a few minutes' drive to the north of Lindley Moor Meadows.
Nearby GP practices include the Lindley Village Surgery and the Nook Surgery, located in Salendine Shopping Centre. Huddersfield Royal Infirmary, is a short distance away.
