History on the go

Perfect for young families, the trail is made up of 41 pieces of ‘fish’ sculpture made from traditional materials, and there’s even a fun certificate from the Tourist Information Centre upon completion.
Hull boasts some stunning architecture, including the Scale Lane Bridge - dubbed the ‘bridge to nowhere’ as the other half wasn’t built, after plans for redevelopment on the eastern side of the river never came to fruition. Instead, visitors can ride the bridge as it moves to let ships pass. Robust and striking, the bridge is also known as the ‘pinball flipper’ and is now a landmark in its own right.
