There’s also a regular farmers market taking place on the second Sunday of each month, and is well-regarded for its variety of local produce. With around 1000 pupils, including its sixth form centre, Hanley Castle High School is a specialist Language College and was founded in 1326 as a chantry school, making it one of the oldest schools in England.
