Malvern has regular markets throughout the month. At the country market, taking place each Friday, you’ll find a huge assortment of trinkets and delicious food. There’s also a regular farmers market taking place on the second Sunday of each month, and is well-regarded for its variety of local produce. For even more choice you’ll find a variety of supermarkets in the area where you’ll be able to do your weekly grocery shop.
If you enjoy getting out and about, Malvern is an excellent place to enjoy some of England’s finest countryside. Dividing the stunning countryside of Herefordshire and Worcestershire, the Malvern Hills has many paths and are a great spot for a relaxing walk or, for something more strenuous, why not take a hike along the steeper ridge of the Malvern Hills. With around 1300 pupils it’s a specialist Technology, Language and Science college under the specialist schools programme.
Malvern is also in catchment of Hanley Castle High School, located in the village of Hanley Castle. With around 1000 pupils, including its sixth form centre, Hanley Castle High School is a specialist Language College and was founded in 1326 as a chantry school, making it one of the oldest schools in England.
Malvern Rise benefits from excellent transport links. The A449 road runs through the centre of Malvern and connects you to Worcester and Ledbury. You’re also conveniently close to the M5 motorway where you’ll have convenient access to Birmingham and Exeter. You’ll also have your pick from two nearby train stations: Malvern Link and Great Malvern, where major operators Great Western Railway and West Midlands can take you as far as Hereford, Birmingham New Street, Brighton, and London Paddington.
