Those who enjoy the great outdoors will be pleased to have the breathtaking Summerhill Country Park and Nature Reserve close by. The park offers a variety of activities, classes and play areas to entertain children and young adults. The stunning North Sands beach is also within easy reach and is popular with surfers, amblers and birdwatchers. During low tide, young families often visit the beach to explore the rock pools, observe wildlife and hunt for fossils.

For family days out there is also The Maritime Experience which is fun for children of all ages. It has a superb recreation of an 18th century seaport and visitors get to experience life aboard a British warship and explore the historic quayside. The Marina is also nearby and is a bustling hub of bars, cafes and restaurants which offer tastes from around the world as well as a fantastic nightlife scene.

Hartlepool Town Centre prides itself on its array of boutique and high street shops and is a short distance from the site.

Education

A number of well-regarded primary and secondary schools are located within close proximity to the development. The Hartlepool College of Further Education also boasts a range of full and part-time courses and is just a short distance from the site.
