Find a new home in the cosmopolitan city of Bristol

Ambitious, lively, vibrant and cosmopolitan are just a few words to describe this 21st century city. Bristol offers a rich history, fantastic shopping, exciting and exceptional attractions and was voted the best place to live in Britain in 2017 by The Sunday Times and the European Green Capital City in 2015 – high praise indeed.

Bristol is a shopper’s delight with the two main hubs of Cabot Circus and Cribbs Causeway offering a huge choice of shops as well as restaurants and entertainment & leisure venues. There’s also Bristol shopping quarter, which has a selection of high street shops for all. Bristol also has a selection of markets held throughout the week including St Nicholas market, Street food market, Bristol farmers’ market, Bristol harbourside market and Temple Quay market.

For fun days out

Art lovers can visit the Royal West of England Academy of Art, the Bristol Museum and Art Gallery and you can even download the Banksy Bristol Trail smartphone app, which features an interactive map, which guides you to each of Banksy’s remaining pieces in Bristol. It’s also packed with in-depth features on Banksy and his work.

Within Bristol there are other attractions open all year round. To name a few there is M Shed, Bristol Museum & Art Gallery, Bristol Cathedral and Clifton suspension bridge. For fun family days out head to Bristol Zoo Gardens, Bristol Aquarium, or experience a Bristol Ferry boat trip.

Surrounded by rolling countryside and with two rivers, the River Avon and the River Chew, meeting in the town, you will never be far from an attractive vista. To enjoy the best the area has to offer, there’s a fantastic network of walking and cycling routes nearby, including the River Avon Trail, the Bristol and Bath Railway path and the Monarch’s Way. The Bristol to Bath cycle path is 13 miles off-road and boasts miles of safe track, winding its way through beautiful countrywide along the disused railway line.

Transport for all

Bristol enjoys convenient transport links via the A420 linking you to the A38 heading south; A4 accessing Bath and the M32 linking the M4 east to London and West to South Wales. In addition, there is also the M5 heading north to Gloucester and south to Taunton then onto Exeter.

Travel by train is also easy with Bristol Temple Meads train station sitting in the heart of Bristol; in addition, there is Bristol Parkway to the northern outskirts. The bus service is regular with services to the city centre and Cribbs Causeway. There is also a ferry around the harbour into the city centre.

Education for all

Bristol has a selection of education facilities for all ages, from a selection of infant, junior and primary schools to secondary schools. For older students there is the City of Bristol Collage, South Gloucestershire and Stroud College. The city also has two institutions of higher education with the University of Bristol and the University of the West of England.
