Deer Croft Rise brings a collection of new homes to the friendly market town of Holsworthy in Devon. With house styles ranging from 1-bedroom to 4-bedrooms, there’s something for everyone.
Located in north Devon, just 10 miles from some of Cornwall’s best beaches, Holsworthy is a bustling market town. A home at Deer Croft Rise will put you a short walk from the attractive town centre, home to independent shops, supermarkets, services, pubs and takeaways. There are two schools less than a 10-minute walk away, a local hospital, and a range of local sports and leisure facilities.
For more shops, attractions and golden beaches, the popular seaside town of Bude is 9 miles away. With the added benefit of good road and public transport links across the area, plus built-in energy-efficient features, a home at Deer Croft Rise could be just what you’re looking for.
Living at Deer Croft Rise you’ll be on the edge of rolling countryside, with many scenic walks winding out from the town into fields and woodland. The wild beauty of Dartmoor National Park is a 40-minute drive away, or you could make the short journey to the Hartland Peninsula and coast of north Cornwall. There you can expect quaint coastal villages alongside popular seaside towns, and some stunning locations for hiking or watching wildlife.
Holsworthy is a bustling hub of rural life, with weekly markets held in In the market square where you can browse fresh local produce. There are a number of cafes to enjoy a social morning, or you could visit the town’s museum. If you like to stay active, there are also several sports facilities including a gym, leisure centre, skate park, bowling green, golf club and football club.
Despite the rural location, the town is served by good local transport routes, with direct bus lines to Bideford, Bude, Okehampton, Barnstaple, Tavistock and Morwenstow. If you’re travelling by car, the A3072 leads directly to Bude, while the A388 leads to Bideford and Barnstaple. Exeter and its airport can be reached in around an hour, while vibrant Plymouth is around an hour and 20 minutes away.
