Cardiff is 10 miles away or a 30 minute drive - there you'll be spoilt for choice with the city’s Royal Arcade, Queens Arcade, St David’s shopping area, The Capitol shopping centre and Cardiff market for local produce.
Haven Point is situated alongside the waterfront of Barry, with views over the channel, Sully Island, Flat Holm and Steep Holm Islands. The development has easy access to Barry town centre with its range of shops and amenities. Nearby Penarth offers many shops, cafes, parks and a newly-developed pier for fun days out. Within Barry there are several primary schools. The catchment schools are Holton School and High Street for English-medium and Ysgol St Baruc for Welsh-medium. For denominational schools there is All Saints Church In Wales (CIW) School and St Helens Catholic School. Other schools in the area include Romilly Primary School, Barry Island School for English-medium and Ysgol St Curig for Welsh-medium. For Secondary education English-medium there is Whitmore High School and Pencoedtre, St Richard Gwyn RC for denominational and Ysgol Gymraeg Bro Morgannwg for Welsh-medium.
Haven Point is ideally located a mile from Barry train station where trains head west to Barry Island and east to Cardiff Central, with onward links to Newport, Bridgend and London, plus many local links. Cardiff airport has a selection of direct fights to popular holiday locations. There are many connections on the roads with the A4050 and A4226 close-by.
