The Lake District, Yorkshire, Humberside and the North Pennines are all easily accessible via great road links including the A7, A595, A689, A69 and adjoining motorways. You'll enjoy good train links from Carlisle station, which offers regular services to Glasgow, Edinburgh and London Euston, with many major destinations in between. There are also excellent links by train and the A69 to Newcastle, the Metrocentre at Gateshead and the East coast.
