Good schools close-by

Families will be pleased to know that Kingsthorpe is well-served by excellent local schooling. There are two primary schools in the village, both graded 'Good' by Ofsted. For secondary and further education, there's Kingthorpe College - an academy school with brilliant facilities and another Ofsted grade of 'Good'.

Local shopping

Northampton town centre, approximately 2.5 miles away, has a range of boutique shops, along with some well-known high street stores. Leisure and entertainment is well-served in the town in the Derngate area, with theatre, music venues, clubs, bars, and cafés where you can sit and watch the world go by. Northampton also has both professional rugby and football teams for you to watch, as well as motor racing at Silverstone.

If you enjoy getting out and about there's plenty to do in the local area. Golfers can enjoy Kingsthorpe Golf Club with its pristine 73 acre course, and in Northampton there are numerous leisure centres and gyms, including Virgin Active, Nuffield Health and Fitness4Less.

Convenient transport links

Kingsthorpe is an excellent choice for commuters. The village is convenient for those looking to commute to London, with London Midland services from Northampton railway station to London Euston taking just under an hour. The station also has services to Birmingham New Street. Just 7 miles from the M1 motorway, Kingsthorpe has good road links with Coventry and Leicester to the north, and Milton Keynes and London to the south.
