It's Blue Flag-rated and has everything you'd need for either an energetic or a relaxing day. Approximately one mile from Long Sands is Tynemouth Priory and Castle. Once one of the largest fortified areas in England, it dominates the headland and offers beautiful views of the River Tyne and the North Sea.

You can explore Segedunum Roman Fort and Museum for an insight into the days of the Roman Empire, and walk along Hadrian's Wall, the renowned UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Local amenities

There's a convenience store just 0.3 miles from the development which provides most items for your day-to-day needs. A short distance away you'll find an ASDA, Aldi and Tesco Express as well as Silver Link retail park.
