Guardbridge is approximately 4 miles northwest of St Andrews, and is situated on the estuary of the River Eden, at the junction of the A91 between St Andrews and Stirling, and the A919/A914 between Leuchars and the Tay Road Bridge. You can reach the M90 motorway and A90 trunk road easily, providing convenient commuting to the cities of Dundee, Perth, and Edinburgh.

Schools close-by

The Eden Woods development will contribute to the extension of the local Primary School and to an upgrade for the local High School. There is a great range of schooling for all ages in the surrounding area. Guardbridge Primary School is approximately a 3 minute drive away. Bell Baxter High School is 6.2 miles southwest, Madras College is in St Andrews to the east (4.7 miles) and The University of St Andrews is (3.8 miles), to the north of the town.

Days out nearby

For those of you who enjoy the great outdoors, Eden Estuary Centre is under a mile from Eden Woods and offers some lovely picturesque country walks. The nearby town of St Andrews benefits from a range of sporting activities, including tennis, bowling and a boating club - all within easy reach. In addition there are the Waterstone Crook Sports Centre and the Guardbridge Bowling Club to the north of the village, and St Michaels golf course on the outskirts of Leuchars.

Local shopping

The village of Guardbridge is to the northeast of Fife, on the east coast of Scotland. Guardbridge's name comes from a 15th century six-arched bridge, built by Bishop Henry Wardlaw. These days the village has everything for your day-to-day needs, from a butchers and convenience store, to a take-away and bakery. For a larger selection of shops, St Andrews is a short trip away.
