The A12 is the closest main road route, running all the way from Lowestoft in the north-east to Ipswich in the south of the county, where it links to the A14. It continues south into Essex via Chelmsford, and all the way to Romford. You can pick up mainline rail connections at Ipswich, with trains to London taking about an hour and 15 minutes.
