The nearest train station is at Neath, just under 11 miles away. From there, the journey time to Swansea is just over 15 minutes.
There are two local comprehensive schools to choose from; Ysgol Maesydderwen and Ysgol Gyfun Ystalyfera. A third comprehensive school, Ysgol Grnradd Gymraeg Pontardawe, is 6 miles away.
