Local information

For residents here there are local shops and cafés, and the Talbot Green Retail Park is just under 4 miles away for all those extras. For your children, Dolau Primary School and Y Pant Secondary School both have ‘Excellent’ Ofsted ratings. For sports, there’s a good range of facilities nearby, including golf at Llantrisant and Pontyclun, and swimming at Pencoed. For commuters, the train station at Llanharan is only half a mile away.

Shopping

Llanharan has a choice of local convenience stores and both Pencoed and Pontyclun have a Tesco Express. You’ll also be just a short drive from Morrisons, Co-op and Aldi. The Talbot Green Retail Park is just off Junction 34 of the M4, at Llantrisant, for high street brands, restaurants and cafés. However, the icing on the cake is Cardiff. This buzzing city is as famous for its shopping as it is for its entertainment and nightlife. Shopping there is a treat not a chore!

Getting around

Llanharan train station is managed by Transport for Wales, with local services to Bridgend, Swansea and Cardiff and long-distance services as far as Manchester. Junction 35 at Pencoed, about 3 miles away, is the nearest point to join the M4, putting you within easy reach of all the major towns along the South Wales corridor. For a run to the sun, Cardiff Airport is just 15 miles away.
