Persimmon Homes tunes in to Pirate FM charity appeal

The team at Persimmon Homes Cornwall has got behind an appeal to spread a little extra Christmas cheer to poorly and vulnerable children over the festive season.

The region has backed commercial radio station Pirate FM’s annual Christmas toy appeal and is opening its show home doors to receive donations from the public.

All the gifted toys will be shared between the Children’s Hospice South West, supporting children with life limiting illnesses and their families; Ellie’s Haven, offering holidays for poorly children and the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Charity to share gifts with children in hospital over the Christmas period.

Jane Cartwright, head of sales at Persimmon Homes Cornwall, said: “We are proud to be a partner in Pirate FM’s toy appeal this year and are delighted to be able to open our show homes in Truro, Newquay, Liskeard, Falmouth and Bodmin to people wanting to make donations.”

“The appeal has touched the hearts of thousands of people across Cornwall and we are playing our part by providing places in the community where they can deliver their donations.”

Show homes at Copperfields in Truro, The Goldings in Newquay, Trevethan Meadows in Liskeard, Eve Parc in Falmouth and Priory Meadows in Bodmin are open from 11am to 6pm Thursday to Monday to accept donations.
