We’ve partnered with the Supply Chain Sustainability School as part of our drive for a consistent approach to sustainability and responsible sourcing.
Launched in 2012, the School provides a learning and engagement platform to upskill people working within the built environment sector. Free online learning materials, seminars, workshops and other services are available to help assess and improve environmental, social and economic sustainability awareness on issues including waste reduction, resource use and human rights.
Philippa Bolton-Hadfield, our Group Sustainability Manager, said the new partnership will support the company’s drive to embed sustainability in every part of the business: “We recognise that sustainability is not just confined to our own business but spreads across every supplier we appoint.
“Our supply chain is critical to supporting our ambitious programme of providing value for communities, the environment and the economy and we look forward to working in partnership with the School and our valued suppliers to improve sustainability performance and standards at every level.”
With over 100 partners, the School is the key industry-led organisation for driving the improvement of sustainability knowledge and skills throughout the value chain. Partners include clients, major contractors and key suppliers all with one mission – to deliver more efficient and sustainable projects.
