Ventilating bathrooms and ensuites

Bathrooms can be a damp and humid place in the home. So it’s essential to ensure good ventilation to limit condensation and help prevent the appearance of mould and mildew.

 

Trickle vents should be left open at all times.

In new builds bathrooms with a bath and shower, ventilation from an extractor fan is essential. This is because new builds are built to be more air-tight, so natural ventilation is much lower. Persimmon installs an extractor fan with timers, these keep running for a set number of minutes after they have been turned off.

Warranty peace of mind

Feel secure in the knowledge that our homes come with a two-year Persimmon Homes warranty and in years three to 10 you’re covered by an NHBC/LABC warranty. Warranties on appliances can be set up straight away and registered directly with the manufacturer. Remember to service your boiler before the end of the first 12 months to maintain the second year of your warranty.
