Framlingham and its surrounding area offers plenty of visitor attractions. Places of interest include Orford Castle, Leiston Abbey, the Long Shop Museum, Bentwaters Cold War Museum, Minsmere Nature Reserve and Orford Ness National Nature Reserve.

The closest mainline station is Ipswich, which then connects commuters to Norwich and London Liverpool Street. There are a range of bus services from Bridge Street in Framlingham to nearby towns, villages and the Suffolk coast.
