Persimmon Homes

Harrow is one of Greater London’s established commercial centres, and its historic heart, Harrow on the Hill, is its famous conservation area, along with its famous school. This combination of history and commerce make Harrow a much-favoured residential area for finding a new home. With central London to the southeast and open space and green fields to the north and east, Harrow is in a strong position to claim the best of both worlds.

Harrow sits between the M4 and the M1, and the M25 gives its residents and commuters easy access to the M40, the M3, and the A1(M). If you are city bound, Central London is 15 miles away. You’ve got an easy ride to Heathrow Airport too, 17 miles to the south. Travel by train is part and parcel of everyday life in Greater London, and Harrow-on-the-Hill is on the Metropolitan Line, in Zone 5 of the London Underground. The average journey time to Euston Station is around 20 minutes. The bus station is close to Harrow-on-the Hill train station, and both are near the town centre.

The town centre has everything that you will need, from independent shops and boutiques to supermarket chains and shopping centres. A family-friendly pedestrianised area is lined with cafés, restaurants, and bars. There are parks and recreation grounds, a leisure centre and a golf course, schools and a hospital, and the University of Westminster has a campus here, another key player in the local economy.

Well on the way

Living in Harrow gives you an easy escape to the country for family day trips and a change of scenery. The M40 whisks you into the Chiltern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Oxfordshire, and the A1(M) takes you into rural Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. Closer to home, the Colne Valley Regional Park covers 43 square miles of farmland, woodland, and waterways.
