Persimmon Homes

Lyde Green

Lyde Green is an exciting, forward-looking new community between Pucklechurch and Emersons Green, on the outer fringes of Bristol in South Gloucestershire. The development was given the go-ahead in 2013 and a new home here gives you the opportunity to become part of a growing community in a great location. One of the great things about a new development such as this, is that the infrastructure, services and amenities all become part and parcel of the overall plan. These new homes will offer all of this to the new families that move here. Lyde Green also has easy access to the A432, one of the main routes into the heart of Bristol, as well as to the M32 and M4 and so you’ll be well connected to all that Bristol has to offer, to the historic city of Bath, the motorway network and the beautiful countryside of South Gloucestershire.

Getting about town

Lyde Green is well placed for the main A-routes into Bristol as well as to the M4 which puts Cardiff, Swindon and Reading within easy reach for commuters. There’s a very useful Park & Ride facility, offering frequent routes on local bus and Metrobus services. Filton Abbeywood is the nearest local train station, linking up with Bristol Temple Meads and Bristol Parkway - just 6 miles away - for Southwest and London-bound services. Bristol Airport can be reached in just over half an hour via the A4174.

Getting into the countryside

You’ll have the best of both worlds in this edge-of-town location. There are some beautiful places to the east of Bristol and around the famous city of Bath. Dyrham Park and Lacock are two of the local National Trust estates to visit. If you head north above the M4, Gloucestershire and the glorious Cotswolds are waiting to be explored. You’ll have a pick of lovely country pubs to choose from for Sunday lunch.

Local amenities

Lyde Green’s amenities include a range of local shops and a primary school. The Emerson Green retail park is just one mile away and of course, you’ll only be 8 miles from Bristol city centre. There you’ve got some great shopping areas to choose from; Cabot Circus and Broadmead, Park Street and Clifton Village. Bath is a bit further away but couldn’t be a better place to visit for a day of shopping. From the stores along Union Street to the independent shops that are tucked away in the quaint side streets, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
