A new-build home in Weston is a new start between two of Lincolnshire’s long-standing market towns, Spalding and Holbeach. With Norfolk and Cambridgeshire as near neighbours, this is a largely rural area with easy access to Lincoln and Peterborough as well as to the unique fens and the beautiful Norfolk coast. The cathedral city of Lincoln is to the north, the A1M runs south of Peterborough and the M11 is the main motorway route from Cambridge down to the M25 and Greater London. This is a county of wide-open landscapes at the same time as having good connections throughout the East Midlands.
Weston is only 2 miles northeast of Spalding so it’s an opportunity for you to enjoy village life with local facilities and amenities a stone’s throw away. On the doorstep, the village hall is a focal point for the community and for children’s activities, there’s a local restaurant that also offers a takeaway service and there’s a garden centre for you to find inspiration for your new garden.
Lovely market towns
Spalding and Holbeach add shops, supermarkets, healthcare facilities – including a community hospital - leisure centres and schools. For journeys out of town, Spalding has a train station on the Lincoln to Peterborough line, with services to Doncaster too. As well as a choice of primary schools, Spalding has two secondary schools and the University Academy in Holbeach is another option.
Nature on the doorstep
This part of Lincolnshire is famous for the unique landscape of the Fens, inland from The Wash – a special coastal landscape where Norfolk meets Lincolnshire. The Wash is a part of the Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a nature reserve and a RSPB site all rolled into one. With these protected landscapes close to home, there are plenty of opportunities to explore close to your new home.
The main road routes here are the A15, A16 and A17 – providing great connections for you with Lincoln, Boston, Newark-on-Trent, Peterborough and King’s Lynn. Train services from Spalding are a convenient alternative and for a shopping trip into Spalding or Holbeach, bus services run every 30 minutes.
