Bisected by the A59 road, Maghull offers excellent transport links. The town is served by a train station, which is on the Northern Line of the Merseyrail network and operates trains between Ormskirk and Liverpool Central every 15 minutes. Maghull also has a good range of bus services and the M57 and M58 motorways start between Aintree and Maghull for travel to the east.
Offering a more leisurely mode of transport, the Leeds and Liverpool Canal runs through the centre of old Maghull. And for destinations further afield Liverpool John Lennon Airport can be reached by car in just over half an hour.
