Chellaston is a suburb in the south of the City of Derby, which is in the East Midlands of England. It is on a natural hill, and has recently expanded due to several new housing estates.

Chellaston lies about 5 miles (8.0 km) south of Derby city centre, and is the southernmost part of the city. It borders Shelton Lock to the north and South Derbyshire to the south.
Chellaston has a Co-operative supermarket on the corner of High Street and Derby Road. The Post Office is located on Derby Road near Station Road, next to Chellaston Garage (a small car repair business) and a Cantonese takeaway – Ming's Court.
There are four schools; Chellaston Infant School, Chellaston Junior School, Homefields Primary School, and Chellaston Academy (senior school and 6th form college). Chellaston Academy's catchment area includes the nearby villages of Melbourne, Aston-on-Trent, Ticknall, Barrow upon Trent and Weston-on-Trent.
Chellaston Park on Snelsmoor Lane includes a children's playground, football pitches, a cricket pitch and changing facilities.
When it comes to getting around, Regents Place is in an ideal situation. It’s just a few minute’s drive from Derby’s southern by-pass (the A50) with its speedy links to the M1, which allows access to London and the North. The main public transport link is the bus service, which journeys either side of Chellaston as far as Derby and Swadlincote.
Derby train station, situated just 4.5 miles from the development, has regular train services to London Euston and London St Pancras in approximately one and a half hours.
For journeys further afield, East Midlands Airport is conveniently close with its impressive list of national and international destinations.
