Shopping

Kirkcaldy boasts a busy town centre, with both independent and chain stores. More notably the very popular Fife Central Retail Park is located only a 5 minute drive from Rosslyn Gait. There is also a 24 hour Asda within walking distance of the development.

Leisure

Kirkcaldy Galleries is home to the town's museum & art gallery and central library. The building opened in 1925 but in 2011 was closed to allow a £2.4 million renovation which was completed in June 2013. The Adam Smith Theatre, the town's main auditorium, plays host to theatrical and musical productions as well as showing a selection of arthouse and commercial films.

The Links Market Funfair visits the town every Easter and can be found dotted all along the Promenade. It celebrated its 700th anniversary in 2004.

There are three main public parks in Kirkcaldy; Beveridge Park which includes a boating lake, a formal garden with fountain, a skateboard park, rugby ground, football pitches and woodland walks. The park was awarded a green flag award in both 2010 and 2011.

Ravenscraig Park is adjacent to Ravenscraig Castle and finally there's Dunnikier Park, which consists of an area around Oswald House and is home to numerous woodland walkways.

Education

There are several local authority nurseries in the area, and a choice of primary schools. The local high schools are Kirkcaldy High School, Viewforth High School, St Andrews High School. and also Balwearie High School.

Transport

Kirkcaldy has direct access to the A92, heading South to Dunfermline and Edinburgh, or North towards Dundee and Perth. The North East of Fife, St Andrews and the East Neuk are also accessible via the A915 road. Kirkcaldy has a mainline train station providing regular services to Edinburgh, Dundee, Perth and beyond.

There are local doctor & dentist services nearby and the main hospital - Victoria Hospital - is only 5 minute drive from the development.
