Stortford Fields is our collection of two, three, four and five bedroom homes, located in the popular market town of Bishop’s Stortford.
Based in the popular market town of Bishop’s Stortford, our new collection of two, three and four bedroom homes has something for everyone.
The historic town of Bishop’s Stortford is nestled on the banks of the River Stort in rural Hertfordshire. It’s situated just west of the M11 motorway, on the county boundary with Essex, and just over 30 miles north of central London. It’s also the closest large town to London Stansted Airport and has a direct train to London Liverpool Street, reaching the city in less than 40 minutes.
Living at Stortford Fields means that you’ll have everything you need close to home. The town’s attractive high street is filled with 16th and 17th century buildings which sit alongside the newer Jackson Square Shopping Centre. Fresh from a £5.5 million facelift, Jackson Square is brimming with high street names and coffee shops. Your entertainment is covered too as there’s a cinema, health club, bowling alley and the Rhodes Arts Complex - a large live music and contemporary arts venue and museum.
There’s lots to do outdoors too as Bishop’s Stortford and its surroundings offer a whole host of parks and playgrounds such as Sworder’s Field where there’s plenty of space to kick a ball about, go for long walks and enjoy a splash in the popular spashpool. The park is also home to a skateboard park (including a metal half-pipe) and, for keep fit fans, a trim trail. The town council host a summer fun day at Sworder’s Field so there’s lots of fun for all the family. Castle Gardens, next to Sworder’s Field, also enjoys plenty of open space and a newly-built tennis court.
There are several primary schools close to Stortford Fields; St Michael’s C of E, St Joseph’s Catholic, Hatfield Heath, Manuden and Manor Fields are well-known to the area. Close-by are five secondary schools, many of which have gained special college status: St Mary’s Catholic School, Birchwood High School, Hockerill Anglo-European College, Bishops Stortford High School and The Herts & Essex High School.
£30 million has been invested in education within the local area. Two new primary schools and a further secondary school are due to be built within the development. 2020 will see the opening of the first primary school.
With our range of stylish modern homes, fantastic amenities on your doorstep and excellent commuting links, Stortford Fields is an ideal place to call home for first time buyers and families alike.
