From the M6 North, exit at Junction 27 and take the A5209 towards Parbold/Standish/Chorley. Take the third exit on the motorway on to Crow Orchard Road, turn left on to Shevington Lane, left on to School Lane, right on to High Street and left on to Market Street. Follow this road on to Rectory Lane.
Locally there are general convenience stores, post office, and takeaways. Towards Wigan town centre you will find Robin Park retail park with a number of large retailers such as Next and Argos. The town centre itself has The Grand Arcade, a modern shopping mall, along with more traditional shops at The Galleries.
