Exit junction 7 of the M20, continue on a249 drive toward Sittingbourne Road.


Maidstone’s attractive high street boasts a number of shops and from here you can easily access Fremlin Walk, a modern shopping centre where you’ll find a huge choice of well-known high street brands. The Mall Maidstone is another spacious indoor shopping centre and, on the other side of the River Medway, you can find St Peter's Wharf, known for its clothes, crafts and homeware shops. There’s also a thriving local market which takes place each week on Tuesdays and Saturdays at Lockmeadow, where you can buy delicious fresh produce and grab yourself a bargain.

For even more choice, The McArthur Glen designer outlet in Ashford and Bluewater Shopping Centre are also easily accessible with their impressive choice of shops and restaurants.


There’s lots to do in the local area. The Norman Leeds Castle with its 500 acre parkland boasts falconry demonstrations, the rip-roaring treetop adventures of Go Ape, and a brilliant hedge maze. With romantic towers, an audio tour and a gift shop, the castle is perfect for a family day out.

Located in the heart of Kent, and halfway between London and Dover, Maidstone is in a fantastic situation and a popular place to live for commuters. The town is just 2 miles from the M20 which connects south to Ashford and Folkestone and north-west to London, with the M25 approximately 18 miles away. The A229 provides speedy routes and will connect you with the M2 leading onwards to Canterbury and Margate.

Maidstone is well-served by trains and has two railway stations: Maidstone East for London/Ashford services and Maidstone West for Gatwick/Strood services. The Channel Tunnel is easily accessed by train directly from Ashford. For destinations further afield, London City, Gatwick and Heathrow airports have regular flights to and from other UK airports as well as a wide range of international destinations.
