Linlithgow Palace is easily accessible from Thornhill Wynd and offers a fantastic day out for all the family. Not only is it the birthplace of Mary Queen of Scots, it’s also used for film set by Linlithgow Loch where there are plenty of scenic walks to go on so you can take in the stunning views of the palace and the loch.

Directions

From Glasgow:
Head east along the M8, take the exit on the left to M80 Stirling, continue along M80. Keep left at the fork to continue to M876, at junction 1 take A883 to Denny. Continue along A883 and on to A803 to A9. On at A9 take the second exit on to Mungalend. At the next roundabout take the second exit on to Bankside. At the junction turn left on to Grahams Road. At the junction turn left on to Dalderse Road. Continue along Dalderse Road on to Etna Road

From Edinburgh:
Head west along M9 from Newbridge roundabout. Exit M9 at junction 5 (A904 Falkirk/Grangemouth). At the roundabout take the first exit to A9At Bog Road take second exit to stay on A9. Continue on A9. Take the first exit on to Etna Road. 

Leisure
