Persimmon Homes Walmsley Park – a range of stunning new homes in Leigh, Greater Manchester
Situated in the Borough of Greater Manchester, Leigh is 13.5 miles west of Manchester city centre and 25 miles east of Liverpool city centre. Walmsley Park’s proximity to the A580 East Lancashire Road makes it an ideal location if you need to commute to these cities.
The development is located in a much sought-after semi-rural area, formerly known as Walmsley Farm, but still enjoys easy access to Leigh town centre and all its amenities.
Leigh has a traditional town centre offering an array of shops, large supermarkets and daily outdoor and indoor markets. The Spinning Gate Centre in the centre of town has a wide choice of retail units and another retail park, developed on the old Parsonage Colliery site, is within walking distance of the town centre. For more shopping choices you can visit the neighbouring towns of Wigan, St Helens and Warrington.
The town is well-equipped for sporting fans amongst you – the Leigh Sports Village has an 11,000-capacity stadium which, as well as football, rugby and athletics, also hosts music events. Leigh also has an array of other activities available such as a cinema, bars, cafes and restaurants. Superb family days out are on your doorstep at nearby Pennington Flash Country Park and Lilford Park.
Close to the development is a good choice of schools ranging from primary through to secondary and there are also nearby schools in neighbouring towns.
