There is a large Co-op situated in Broadclyst only about a 5-minute drive from the development. The lovely village of Ottery St Mary with a Sainsburys, banks, butchers, chemist and two Indian restaurants amongst other quirky little shops, isn't too far away. If you need a large Tesco superstore there's one at Clyst Heath, Exeter or there is online grocery shopping facilities.

A Town Centre for the new community will be delivered in Phase II with a range of retail shops and office facilities to give Cranbrook a heart and a focal point for shopping and leisure.

Leisure

A Rural Country Park and a number of play areas give ample space and amenity to encourage use of the rural location, streetscapes and the mixture of hard and soft landscaping have been designed to create an easy living lifestyle.

Education

Two new primary schools and a new secondary school will be provided through the duration of the development with the first primary school in Phase I along with the multipurpose building which will cater for a range of community facilities. Both facilities will be open in September 2012. The new community will have its own dedicated Town Council along with commitments to community engagement to enable Cranbrook to grown into a new and vibrant community.

The remaining primary school and secondary school will fall into Phase II of the scheme and will deliver the whole range of educational needs.

Transport

Cranbrook offers accessible transport links via the M5 motorway to Bristol, Exeter and the wider South West. The town also has a local bus service, rail links on the Exeter to London Waterloo line and flights to London and Europe from Exeter airport.
